We weren’t taught this stuff.

Growing up in the ’90s, many of us entered adulthood without a roadmap—no one explained how to build credit, buy a home, navigate mental health, or prepare for retirement. We learned by failing, recovering, and figuring it out the hard way.

MyTNLife.blog was born from that journey.

This isn’t just a blog about insurance, money, or leadership. It’s a grounded space for people who want more peace, more purpose, and more truth in their day-to-day life. Whether you’re fixing your credit, managing anxiety, changing careers, or simply trying to live a little lighter—this blog is here to grow with you.

Over the past two decades, I’ve led hotel teams, built workplace cultures, launched benefits programs, and managed multi-million-dollar budgets. I’ve also navigated burnout, grief, and recovery. What I’ve learned—personally and professionally—is that thriving doesn’t come from what you know, but from how you treat people, how you handle pressure, and how you keep showing up when life gets hard.

Now, I’m turning that experience inward—and outward—through writing. I don’t have all the answers. But I write with honesty, clarity, and care, because I believe in emotional intelligence, quiet leadership, and the power of resilience.

Above all, MyTNLife.blog is a safe space for reflection, growth, and reclaiming control over the parts of life we were never taught how to manage.

Let’s build a life we’re proud of—right here in Tennessee.
